The Nolaverse is Live: First Look at the Vieux Carré Press 📰
Welcome to Nolaverse — the world that will house a series of books taken place in New Orleans and surrounding cities ⚜️

If you’re wondering what you’re about to read — please click the link above first to understand! This is completely fictional and lives inside of the world of ‘Nolaverse’.
Vieux Carré Press
It’s March 2006 in Crescent City. The streets are still rebuilding, but the rumors? They’ve never stopped moving. From bodies washing up in the river with stories that don’t add up, to a society circle that runs on champagne and secrets, and the late-night corners where business is conducted in envelopes — the Press has its eyes everywhere.
These aren’t glossy or polished reports. Not even close. These are the ink smudged truths scraped together by the last honest voice in the Quarter… before someone decides it’s better silenced…
Here’s what we know.

The Quarter sleeps with one eye open.
If you’ve got a tip, send it to the editor before next Thursday’s issue.
If you’ve got something to hide… you’d better pray the Vieux Carré Press doesn’t hear about it first.

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
March 16th, 2006
They say this city runs on jazz and bourbon, chile, but I know better — it runs on what people think they can get away with. Since Katrina, the city has been a cesspool of corruption and secrets with the higher ups.
This week, the river gave back what someone thought it could keep. Three strangers. Salt in their clothes and questions buried deep inside their pockets. You can tell yourself it’s nothing, but the Mississippi doesn’t lie — and neither do we.
I’ve got a feeling this story isn’t finished. And while everyone’s watching the levee, something else is moving in the Garden District — behind those drawn black and gold curtains, with names I’m not ready to print yet. Not until I’ve got the proof in my hands.
See you next Thursday. Bring cash. You’ll want a copy of what’s coming.
